Self-Advocacy Coaching
Having consumer trouble with big corporations? Confused by complicated forms? Want help drafting or editing letters to enforce your rights? Need a competent eye to review and walk you through what you need to do to get back wages, deal with your landlord, or take someone to small claims court? Don’t know whether or how to sue on your own? Negotiating credit card bills?

Sometimes you need a lawyer to enforce your rights, sometimes you don’t. Sometimes standing up for yourself can feel paralyzing; having a helping hand to guide you through the process, set up a plan of action and provide encouragement can make all the difference. We can provide coaching so that legal jargon and impossible-seeming forms don’t stand in the way of your endeavors.

There are a lot of skills and resources in life some people aren’t taught because they’re a girl, a person of color, dis/abled, gender-variant, or too busy surviving to absorb them. These skills might include knowing your rights, figuring out what resources are available to you or feeling confident in finding the right forms for starting your own business, partnership or community endeavor. The Best Little Law Firm in Brooklyn provides legal information, issue-spotting, advanced research skills, encouragement and networking to help create a plan of action and get you moving towards the self-advocacy you need and deserve.

Some people who don’t make a lot of money are able to get these services for free, and some people can pay tons of money for someone else to do their advocacy for them. The Best Little Law Firm in Brooklyn specializes in services for people in the middle. For a small fee, we can help you create big results.

How Self-Advocacy Coaching Works
Send us an email with a brief description of your issue. We’ll determine if we can help you, what that will look like and email you with this information and a time estimate. If we believe self-advocacy coaching is not a good fit for your situation and instead you should seek legal representation, we will tell you that, too.

All coaching will take place via phone and email.

Self-advocacy coaching is NOT legal advice. This service specifically provides information and resources for clients. The hourly rate is affordable and is available throughout the US.
